This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Mustang, the "Cadillac of the Skies," now gets the Tamiya treatment! Following up on its superb Japanese Zero and British Spitfire series, Tamiya continues the 1/32 series with this spectacular release of the ever-popular North American P-51D Mustang.
The kit features amazing detail inside and out, with accurately reproduced wings, a super-detailed Packard Merlin V-1650-7 engine with removable (via magnets!) engine cowl panels, a highly-detailed cockpit, detailed internal structure of the oil cooler radiators and ducts, highly detailed wheel wells and landing gear, and openable gun bays on the wings with great detail inside.
Options abound, such as your choice of four rear-view mirrors, two styles of drop tanks, vertical stabilizer with or without the dorsal fin fillet, and a choice of three marking variations. Also included are two figures, one standing and one seated, plus photo-etched metal detail parts. The rudder, elevators, ailerons, and flaps are all movable. Tires are solid rubber.
