The troop-carrier M-1 13, developed for the U.S. Army towards the later fifties, is the world's most wideiy used vehicle of its category. Besides that, it is the armoured vehicie with the largest production ever made in the United States. More than 75.000 units have so far been produced. lt is a low cost vehiele with excellent characteristics. The smali amphibious vehicie is able to carry a piatoon of infantry soldiers. To-day it is stili used by at least 40 armies.
