Refund policy

Any item purchased from ModelCars.com comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If the item you ordered is not quite what you had in mind, you can return the item for an exchange or refund on the purchase price (excluding shipping and restocking fee).

To start a return, you can contact us at customerservice@modelcars.com.  If we have a made a mistake with your order, a shipping label will be provided as part of the return.  Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.  Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the buyer except when a mistake has been made by modelcars.com during order fulfilment.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges Are As Easy As 1-2-3

Ordered the wrong model? Didn't like the decals? Whatever the reason, anything you buy from ModelCars.com is fully exchangeable. We want to be sure you get exactly what you want.

1. Contact us and let us know which item you need to return or exchange.
2. We will give you an RA number. Be sure to write this on the outside of the shipping box.
3. Send the return to the address we provide via email.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method minus restocking fees. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

The Fine Print

Returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase. All items must be in perfect unused condition, with all components, complete with original packaging. Items being returned for a refund will incur a 20% restocking fee unless it was an item that was sent wrong on our part, arrived damaged, or materially different than what was described on our site.  Diecast Models and Scale Model Kits along with paint/accessories  ship from different locations; the customer is responsible for return shipment costs to both locations when multiple products are purchased on an order and then returned. There is NO restocking fee for exchanges.
