- This 1969 Nickey Chevelle, in original Hugger Orange paint was built on the standard Malibu platform with a M40 three-speed automatic transmission, 12-bolt positraction rear end, with normal badges, in a seemingly no-frills package that packed a big punch. It has a tire-melting 427ci big-block inserted as a COPO (option code 9566ba) for Nickey Performance Chevrolet. This Vintage Continuation Chevelle #001 was presented at MCACN in 2010 by Nickey’s own Stefano Bimbi with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by none other than Don Swiatek, manager/alumni of Chevrolet’s Hi-Performance shop and valued crew member of the Nickey Performance family. Featured at the Super Car Reunion, this beauty was a Gold Award winner.
